Au moment où les labels hier entièrement dévolus au blues s'interrogent sur leur devenir, Alligator, marque référentielle s'il en est, fait le choix d'une musique frontalière, certes marquée par la musique noire mais également construite sur d'autres apports.

Il y a indéniablement "quelque chose" dans les compositions de J.J.Grey. Après plusieurs auditions on se prend à aimer cette ambiance un peu lourde.
